Ready to deepen your manual therapy skills with fascia-first, nervous-system-informed tools that work?
Join internationally respected educator Steven Goldstein for a transformative 4-day immersion in Foundations in Fascial Therapy (FT1). We’re offering a choice of two locations, London or Devon, this autumn 2025.
Whether you’re a Bowen practitioner, massage therapist, osteopath or manual therapist, this course will give you the practical, hands-on tools to treat more effectively, with less strain and more lasting results.
What Is Foundations in Fascial Therapy?
Foundations in Fascial Therapy (FT1) is a four-day immersion into a blend of direct myofascial techniques and indirect, osteopathic-informed approaches. Designed and refined over three decades by Steven Goldstein, this training follows a template of fascial lines, chains, and slings of tension. Furthermore, we will also address the autonomic nervous system (ANS) through varied applications of touch.
You’ll explore how to work with the body’s diaphragms, joint capsules, and myofascial restrictions using techniques such as the Two-Point method (an approach to vagal tone), ease-bind assessment, and stacking—a technique that engages multiple directional planes to access change.
This course also covers Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Positional Release Technique, and fascial articulations, as well as updated Polyvagal-informed material on emotional release and interpersonal neurobiology. Expect hands-on learning, palpatory literacy, and clinical tools you can use immediately—whether you’re new to fascial work or ready to refine your touch at a deeper level.

What You’ll Learn
This course offers a fascia-led, nervous-system-aware approach to hands-on therapy, grounded in decades of clinical experience and international teaching.
- The FT Method: A framework blending myofascial lines, autonomic nervous system responses, and clinical palpation, drawing from the work of Thomas Myers, Serge Paoletti, Robert Schleip, and others.
- Ease-Bind & Stacking: Assess and engage restrictions through gentle, multi-directional positioning—an indirect technique drawn from osteopathic practice.
- The Two-Point Method: A vagal tone technique applied to the body’s diaphragms and joint complexes, based on the osteopathic “Eight Diaphragms” concept.
- Direct & Indirect Techniques: Including positional release, modified Muscle Energy Technique (MET), receptor enhancement, and fascial articulations.
- Polyvagal-Informed Practice: Learn how trauma, safety, and emotional regulation influence fascial tone—and how to work with this safely in-session.
- Touch Literacy & Structural Strategy: Develop sensitivity, clarity, and practical tools for treating myofascial restriction without defaulting to force.
